ICEA Chess @ Irvine hosts a monthly USCF-rated Scholastic Chess Tournament at Irvine for all school aged children, usually on the first Saturday of each month. The event typically features four USCF-rated sections (Open/U1200/U800/U400) and one Not-rated section —Rising Stars —designed to accommodate various skill levels groups.
This one-day tournament runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a time control of G/25;+5 (25 minutes per player with a 5-second increment per move).
(NOTE: One 1/2 point bye is allowed. The Awards Ceremony will be right after all games finished)
