Welcome to ICEA Chess - more than just a chess club; it's a vibrant community where kids and members come together to learn, play, and thrive in the world of chess. We believe in fostering a passion for chess while building meaningful connections among our members. We provide unique volunteer opportunities for those passionate about chess to make a difference in our community. Whether it's coaching, organizing tournaments, or contributing to our website, every member can actively participate in sharing the joy and benefits of chess with others.
Entry Fee:
• Early Bird: $50 (by Oct. 31)
• Regular: $60 (by Nov. 30)
• Late Entry: $75 (by Dec 13@7pm)
Come play competitive chess tournaments in West LA!
This one-day event features 4 sections (Only 2000+ Section spans across two Saturdays). The tournament is free for all players with a USCF rating of 2000 or higher.
Sections & Time Control:
• 2000+: 4 Round SS, G/90; +20 (Span across Two Saturdays)
• 1600+: 4 Round SS, G/45; +5
• 1000+: 4 Round SS, G/45; +5
• U1000: 3 Double Round SS,G/30; +5

Children will get to experience the environment and the nature of playing a chess tournament. It is a great opportunity for kids wanting to step up their game in chess, as well as ones who just want to have fun with chess.
The ICEA Chess @ PV is brought to you in partnership with Bilingual Brains, aimed at bringing the ICEA Chess learning experience to the Palos Verdes area.
Join ICEA Chess Monthly Chess Tournament to play competitive USCF/FIDE-rated OTB Chess Tournaments in West LA at the second Saturday of each month! Players rated 2000+ are eligible to play for free.
All Children and Adults are welcome!
